ViaLite GPS Over Fibre Outdoor Enclosures
ViaLite’s range of outdoor enclosures provide cost-effective housing solutions which can be used in environmentally harsh conditions and is ideal either for permanent fixed installations or for rapid field deployment of mobile systems.
All models can be free-standing, or wall/pole mounted and offer at least IP65 protection to the equipment inside.
Being installed outside near the antenna at high level, on poles or on rooftops enables the transmission of GPS/GNSS signals into buildings for time servers, base stations, test equipment or rebroadcasting. Ideal for locations without clear-sky access to GPS signals, it is typically used at data centres, mines and tunnels, and secure Government buildings/Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs).
Depending on specific requirements, ViaLite offer various models of outdoor enclosures:
ViaLite Outdoor Enclosure ODE-A4
The extremely versatile, compact ODE-A4 model can be used to bring GPS/GNSS signals into buildings for time servers, base stations, test equipment or rebroadcasting. It is typically used at data centres, mines and tunnels, secure Government buildings/sensitive compartmented information facilities (SCIFs), locations which do not have clear-sky access to GPS signals.
The ODE-A4 can house up to four Blue OEM RF fibre links (either Rx or TX) housed together with dual redundant power supplies for reliable operation. Additional slots can house timing and reference Blue OEMs for Satcom applications.
The ODE-Mini is the smallest model from ViaLite, offering space for 2 Blue OEM links. Measuring just 220x x155 x95mm and weighing just 2.65kg, it is ideal for fitting into hard-to-reach places or at the top of masts/poles.
The ODE-3BU and the other outdoor enclosures ViaLite offer is that it does not house just OEM links, but a whole 19” rack mount unit. The main difference between the ODE-3BU and the other outdoor enclosures ViaLite offer is that it does not house just OEM links, but a whole 19” rack mount unit. This allows you use similar ViaLiteHD cards outside to transmit the GPS signal as you would to receive the signal inside in a chassis in the same rack as your sync-server.
Being a rack mount chassis means all cards are hot-swappable, making maintenance much easier when swapping a faulty transmitter or power module.
